The album
The music and poetry of Piero Ciampi
An exploration of human imperfection and of the fragile, contradictory edge that runs through Piero Ciampi’s songs. Sara Jane rearranges the material for an all-female ensemble, seeking a possible reconciliation with both the artist and the man.
The voice moves in dialogue with strings, piano, harp, vibraphone and theremin, placing the musicality of the words and their narrative power at the centre.
